Kenneth Allan Brunner,
67, Willow City, ND, and
formerly of Minot, passed
away Tuesday, August 20,
2019, at Trinity Hospital
in Minot.
Ken Brunner was born
on January 30, 1952, in
Minot, ND, to Klamantz C.
and Alvina (Hiller)
Brunner. He lived in Deer-
ing, ND during his early
childhood, before the fam-
ily moved to Minot. He
graduated from Minot
High School.
Ken was once married
to Irene Tuchscherer.
They lived in Minot and
have two sons, Eric Allan
and Bradley Joseph. He
was employed in con-
struction and at Sweet-
heart Bakery. Ken was
also once married to Joan
“Joni” Johnson of Minot
and they have one son
Robert “Bob” Brunner.
Ken worked for Cass Clay
as a salesman for home
delivery. Ken enjoyed his
early morning trips to the
truck stop for coffee,
conversation with his
brothers and friends. Ken
loved playing/dealing pok-
er and for years held
multi-weekly poker games
in his home. He enjoyed
flying to Vegas or driving
to casinos around North
Dakota. In 2011, Ken’s
home was flooded, so he
then bought a home in
Willow City, ND.
Ken is survived by: his
3 sons Eric (Lisa) Brunner
and their sons, Chase and
Ty, of Lake Tapps, Wash-
ington, Bradley (Julie)
Brunner of Graham,
Washington, and Robert
“Bob” Brunner (Katie Jo
Fratz) of Minot/Queen
Creek, AZ, Bob’s sons,
Ethan Hoppe of Alexan-
dria, MN and Kaden
Brunner of Queen Creek,
AZ; brother, Mike (Cindy)
Brunner, Minot; his aunt
Ardell Hillerud of Town-
er, uncle, Junior (Gladys)
Hiller; and cousins. His
beloved 10 year old cat
Midnight.
He was preceded in
death by: his parents; an
infant brother; brother,
Klemy (Harriet) Brunner,
and his nephew, Douglas,
who passed away at the
tender age of six.
Cremation has taken
place.
A Celebration of Ken’s
Life will take place Fri-
day, August 23, 2019, at
2:00 p.m. at the VFW
Club, Minot.
