June Lang
Feb. 21, 1923-Aug. 24, 2019
June Harriet Lang, 96,
Minot, died Saturday, Au-
gust 24, 2019 at Trinity
Homes.
June was born February
21, 1923 to Jesse and Hil-
da (Skaar) Fryer in
Fessenden, ND. She was
reared and educated in
the Maddock, Harvey and
the Manfred area through
the 8th grade. June mar-
ried Ruprecht ‘Rudy’ Lang
on January 21, 1944 in
Harvey, ND. They made
their home south of Mar-
tin, ND until moving to
Minot in 1955. She was
employed in the restau-
rant of Ellison’s Depart-
ment Store.
Following Rudy’s pass-
ing in December 1972
June lived independently,
with the help of her
daughter and son, until
the age of 85 when she
moved into assisted living
and then Trinity Homes.
June cared for her mother,
Hilda, in her home with
support from her brothers
until Hilda’s passing. June
spent countless hours
with her daughter and
best friend Sharon Berg
and her family. Sharon
and Eddie’s children were
the light of her life.
Grandma June always
made sure the kids had a
special treat during shop-
ping adventures and
loved taking pictures of
the family and pets.
Grandma June was known
for sneaking table food to
the family pets. June’s
home displayed her love
of taking pictures, a pas-
sion which she shared
with her granddaughter,
Susie. June loved dressing
up and could often be
found in a suit with beau-
tiful jewelry. June walked
everywhere, from the gro-
cery store to relatives
houses to Charlies Cafe.
She made it a part of her
day to walk to Charlies
Cafe and enjoy coffee and
conversation with her
brothers, family and
friends.
June was a member of
Augustana Lutheran
Church in Minot. She also
enjoyed gardening with
Sharon and Eddie, read-
ing, cooking, shopping,
giving gifts and watching
channel 10 news. June
was loved by everyone
she met and will be dee-
ply missed. Her family
takes comfort knowing
that the reunion in
Heaven with her husband
and their daughter will be
amazing.
June’s loving family in-
cludes her son Ronald
Lang, Minot; son-in-law
Eddie Berg, Minot; broth-
ers: Roger Fryer and
Duane (Mary) Fryer, both
of Minot; grandchildren:
Shane (Stacy) Berg, Eric
(Kristi) Berg and Susan
(Beau) Lundmark; 6 great-
grandchildren; 4 great-
great-grandchildren, spe-
cial nieces Debby Carlson,
Pamela Thomas, Vickey
Garske and Kimberly
Crosby and nephew Jason
Fryer. The nursing staff
on 3 South at Trinity
Homes were also a part of
her loving family and the
family will be forever
grateful for the kindness
and care June received.
June was preceded in
death by her parents and
daughter Sharon Berg on
June 6, 2019.
