Ronald “Red” Sander-
son, Sr., 76, of New
Town, died on July 13,
2019 at a Minot hospital,
after a long, courageous
battle with Parkinson’s
Disease. He was born in
Vancouver, Washington to
Lionel and Ragnild (Ol-
son) Sanderson on March
19, 1943.
Red married the love of
his life, Ethel Marie
Young Bear on August 27,
1965. They made their
home and life in New
Town; she preceded him
in death in 2007.
Red was a humble man
with a great sense of
humor. He was well
loved by so many and will
be greatly missed.
He is survived by his
children, Anthony Von-
dall (Roxanne) of Oklaho-ma, Ronald Jr Sanderson
(Kim) and Jeanette Mal-
nourie (Vincent) both of
Parshall; Agnes Vondall
and Lynette Azure (James)
both of New Town, 15
grandchildren, 9
great-grandchildren;
brothers, Robert Sander-
son (Lynn) and Duane
Sanderson of Minot; sister
Dorothy Baade (Darrel) of
Pierre, SD and extended
family
