Minot, passed away on
Thursday, June 27, 2019
in the Van Hook area.
Roger Leslie Undlin was
born on June 13, 1950, a
son of John Paul and
Monica Mary (Gieser)
Undlin in Minot, ND. He
was raised and educated
in the Minot and Surrey
area, graduating from
Bishop Ryan High Cathol-
ic School in 1968.
He furthered his educa-
tion by attending Minot
State University, where he
graduated with a
Bachelors of Science De-
gree. He also was a
member of the Sigma Tau
Gamma fraternity serving
as president.
In 1981, Roger was un-
ited in marriage to Kay
Knudson. They made
their home in Minot,
where together they en-
joyed spending time at
their lake cabin at Van
Hook, fishing and travel-
ing. Kay passed away on
July 3, 2011. Following
her death, Roger contin-
ued to live in Minot.
On January 28, 2013,
Roger was united in mar-
riage to Sheila (Parizek)
Schoenwald in Minot.
Together they made their
home in Bismarck. Roger
retired from Johnson
Brothers Northwest Bever-
age after 37 years of ser-
vice. They later moved to
Sun Lakes, Arizona.
Roger was a member of
Minot Country Club, Elks
and Eagles Lodge.
He is survived by: Wife
Sheila, Sun Lakes, AZ; Si-
blings: Valerie Quintoa,
Minot, ND, Jeffrey (Fiona)
Undlin; Nieces and
nephews: Jessica (Sean
Brooks) and Joshua
Undlin/Cheyenne Nau-
mann and son Quade,
Surrey, ND; Lyle (Deena)
Gudmunson, OK;
Step-children: Scott (Jene-
an) Haynie, Atlanta GA
and their children and
Doug (Jane) Haynie, Hous-
ton, TX, and their chil-
dren; Sister-in-law Myrna
Undlin, Minot.
Roger was preceded in
death by his parents, wife
Kay, and a brother Ronald
“Chunka-Jim” Undlin
Visitation: There will be
no reviewal, as cremation
has taken place, however,
friends may sign a guest
register on Tuesday, July
2, 2019 from 3 until 6 pm
at Thompson Larson Fun-
eral Home, Minot.

vice: Wednesday, July 3,
2019 at 11 am at Zion
Lutheran Church, Minot,
