David Bruce
David Lee Bruce, 59,
Minot, ND, passed away
Monday, July 1, 2019 at
his residence surrounded
by his loving family.
Born in Belcourt, ND,
he was the son of Lorraine
Villeneauve. Dave was
placed in the foster care of
Joseph and Irene Bruce,
who became his loving
parents. Dave attended
Minot High School, where
he participated in wres-
tling, which he loved.
Dave met Marlene Short
and together became a
family with her son Kelly.
They also later became
parents to Justin.
Later in life, Dave met
and married Ara Adcock.
They completed their
family with Ara’s two
children, Dawn and Scott.
Dave worked many jobs
in construction, but his
greatest love was being
the Maintenance Assistant
at Somerset Court.
Dave was a former
member of St. Therese,
Church of the Little
Flower. In recent years,
he attended Mass at the
Somerset Court Chapel
with Father Schneider
and Monsignor Senger.
Dave was very proud of
his Catholic faith.
Dave loved fishing and
was proud to show off his
trophies on the wall in his
“man cave.”
Dave will always be
remembered for his kind-
ness, love of his family,
but most of all, his beauti-
