Robert B. Smith

Robert B. Smith, age 63,

died May 31, 2019 at De-

lano Regional Medical

Center in Delano, CA.

Robert was the son of

Robert and Ardelle Smith.

He was born on July 4,

1955 in Minot, ND and

graduated from Bishop

Ryan High School. He be-

gan working in the oilfield

at the Little Knife Plant

near Killdeer, ND in the

early 1980s and was em-

ployed in the oil and gas

field for the rest of his

career. He was working as

a Thermal Supervisor for

Chevron near Bakersfield,

CA at the time of his ill-

ness, and counted many

of his coworkers as his

closest friends.

He married Terry

Mulske, of Gladstone, ND

in 1995. They lived in

Lompoc, CA and then in

1999 they moved to their

present home in Bakers-

field.

He enjoyed riding his

Harley-Davidson motorcy-cle, and rode it from Cali-

fornia to Sturgis, SD 3

times.

Bob was a friend to

everyone who knew him,

a kind and gentle soul,

who kept the twinkle in

his eye and smile in spite

of the adversity life sent

his way.

He deeply loved his son

Sean and wife Terry and

especially enjoyed taking

trips with them. He was

always very patient when

they stopped at an antique

store, no matter how long

the browsing took.

Bob is survived by: his

wife Terry, son Sean, sis-

ter Debra (Larry) McCon-

key, three brothers-in-law,

David (Jolene) Mulske,

Randy Mulske, Gary

Mulske, four nieces, Sta-

cey (Jerry) Conrad, Heath-

er (Marcus) Ward, Rebec-

ca (William) Vessel, Kayla

Mulske, two nephews,

Ryan (Hardika) McCon-

key, Joseph Mulske, and

numerous great nieces

and nephews.

He was preceded in

death by: his parents.

June 11, 2019 at 10 AM at

Greenlawn Southwest
