Richard “Dick” Arthur

Charlebois, 72, Fargo, ND,

passed away on June 7,

2019 at Villa Maria under

the care of Hospice of the

Red River Valley, sur-

rounded by his family.

Richard was born No-

vember 5, 1946 in Minot,

ND to Clayton and Mar-

garet Charlebois. He gra-

duated from Minot High

School in 1964. Richard

served in the United

States Army from 1969 –

1970. He served in Viet-

nam earning an Honor-

able Discharge. Richard

also earned the Vietnam

Service Medal with 2

bronze stars, National De-

fense Service Medal,

Army Commendation

Medal with Oak Leaf

Cluster and Valor Device,

Sharpshooter, Bronze Star

Medal. Richard was a

member of the American

Legion, Minot; VFW West

Fargo.

Richard was married to

Ellene (Huso) Charlebois,

Minot, from 1967 to 1989.

Richard then married

Jeanne (Wentz) Charle-

bois, Fargo from 1992 to

present.

Richard worked for

NorthWest Airlines in

Minot, ND, O’Day Equip-

ment and sold real estate

for short time. Richard en-

joyed hunting and fishing,

traveling and golf.

Richard is survived by

his wife, Jeanne Charle-

bois, Fargo, ND;

daughters, Allison Charle-

bois Poehls, Jamestown,

ND; Andrea Charlebois

(DaLee Wilkinson), East

Grand Forks, MN; Jessica

(Terrance) Lochthowe,

West Fargo, ND; step-son

Doug Wentz, Birming-

ham, AL. Grandchildren,

Grace Lochthowe and

Peyton Lochthowe. Sister,

Mary Richer, Cannon

Beach, OR.

Richard is preceded in

death by his parents,

Clayton and Margaret

Charlebois, grandson Eas-

ton Poehls, sister, Barbara

Worley.

A special Thank you to

Hospice of Fargo and the

Fargo VA Hospital for

their loving care and sup-

port during Richard’s final

days.

A memorial service was

held in Fargo. Burial will

be held on June 22, 2019

at Rosehill Cemetery,

Minot ND at 2:00 PM with

a Celebration of Life fol-

lowing at the Knights of

Columbus, Minot, ND.
