Jeremy Officer
March 30, 1977-June 2, 2019
Jeremy Officer, 42,
Minot, ND, passed away
Sunday, June 2, 2019 in
Minot.
Jeremy Gene Officer
was born on March 30,
1977, to Dennis and Robin
(Sundsbak) Officer in
Minot. In true Jeremy
fashion, of not many pati-
ence, he barely gave mom
time to get to the hospital
before he decided to enter
the world. He was bap-
tized at Christ Lutheran
Church in Minot.
He was raised and edu-
cated in Minot, graduating
from Minot High School
in 1995.
After high school, he
held various jobs for local
ranchers and farmers,
who he considered to be
his second families, but
found his true love with
his horses, bulls and
rodeo life even fighting
rodeo bulls for a time
with his good friend,
Cody Cadwell. He married
Laine Craine on December
6, 2005 in Killdeer, ND.
To this union, two boys
were born, Kiesyn Jarrett
and Kashdyn Gene, who
he loved more than any-
thing in this world. He
was so proud of the young
men they were becoming.
Jeremy was a simple
man who loved his fami-
ly. He loved tormenting
his nephew, Jennings and
his niece, Aleece. Things
usually got very noisy
when they were together.
His Grandpa and Grand-
ma Farm were a big part
of his life growing up. He
loved to go to the farm. He
always waited for Grand-
pa Farm to call him on his
birthday and sing to him.
It meant so much to him.
Grandma Farm always
made him his favorite
cookies, Oatmeal Raisin,
and nobody could ever
make them like her as far
as he was concerned!
Jeremy was a very out-
going person with the big-
gest heart. He would give
anything he had to any-
body that needed it. He
loved to have fun and
laugh! He enjoyed hunt-
ing the badlands for big
mule deer with his family.
It was always a competi-
tion between them. They
always stayed with Bill &
Lana O’Brien and had
great stories to tell when
they got home about the
really big one that they
just missed and some-
times they even brought
that big one home!! He
also spent a lot of time
growing up at his Grand-
pa Gene’s Cabin. He got
on his first horse there at
about 1 1/2 years old. He
loved spending time there
in the wide open spaces
fixing fence with his dad
and brothers and just en-
joying nature!! All of
us who love him will miss
him every single day. He
and his mom had a saying
between them from the
time he was a little boy
which was “Best Buds
Forever!!” “Best Buds
Forever” My Baby!!
