Esther Lewis

Esther Lewis, 86, Minot,
passed away on Sunday,
June 16, 2019 at a Minot
nursing home.
Esther Delores Arnott
was born on October 14,
1932 in Minot, ND, the
daughter of Norman and
Goldie (Rowe) Arnott. She
was raised and educated
in Minot, graduating from
Minot High School in
1950.
Esther married Robert
Donovan in 1955. This
union produced three
sons, Mike, Pat, and Kelly.
Esther worked at 1st Na-
tional Bank in Minot be-
fore starting Donovan In-
surance with her husband
in 1966. She continued
working at the insurance
agency until she retired in
1999. All three of her sons
followed her into the in-
surance business, with
Mike and Pat being the
current owners. She was
later married to Lawrence
Lee and then Robert
Lewis. All three husbands
preceded her in death.
Esther loved to enter-
tain guests and visit with
friends. She also enjoyed
gardening, especially at
the cabin she owned on
Rice Lake. Esther was a
member of Christ Luth-
eran Church, the Moose
Lodge, and Professional
Insurance Agents (PIA).
Memories of her will be
cherished by all who
knew Esther.
Esther is survived by:
her sons, Mike and Pat
(Bonnie) Donovan, both of
Minot, and Kelly Donovan
of Kenmare; sister, Lenore
Grismer; grandchildren,
Christopher, Eric, Chel-
sea, Chazlynn, Caela,
Casey, and Cara; several
great-grandchildren; and
numerous nieces,
nephews, and other ex-
tended family.
She was preceded in
death by: her parents,
Norman and Goldie Ar-
nott; husbands Robert
Donovan, Lawrence Lee,
and Robert Lewis; sister,
Mary (Rollie) Barquist;
and brother, John “Wes”
(Dorothy) Arnott.
A memorial service
will be held on Saturday,
June 22, 2019 at 10 a.m.
at Our Savior Lutheran
Church in Minot.
Visitation will begin
one hour prior to the start
of the service at the
church.
Graveside Service: will
take place Saturday at
12:15 p.m. at Sunset
Memorial Gardens in
Minot.
