Donna Mae was born

November 2, 1934, the

daughter of Henry and

Valena (Herslip) Shong, in

Newburg, ND. She was

reared on a farm east of

Glenburn, ND and gra-

duated from Glenburn

High School. Upon gra-

duation she attended

Minot State University.

Donna Mae married O.

Carmen Olson on Sep-

tember 30, 1955 at Wol-

seth, ND. They lived on a

farm east of Glenburn un-

til they retired and moved

into Minot in 1990. Donna

Mae started employment

with Target in 1988 and

retired in 2000.

Carmen passed away on

June 11, 2012. She contin

ued to live in Minot until

her death.

Donna Mae was a

member of Bethany Luth-

eran Church, Minot, ND

Surviving family in-

cludes: sons; Terry Olson,

Fergus Falls, MN, Steffen

Olson and Kevin Olson,

both of Fargo, ND; three

grandchildren, Heather

(Jeff Hapala) Olson, Heidi

(Josh Blanchard) Olson,

Jeremy (Sierra); two step

grandchildren, Darci

Darren Heiddbreder, Rug-

by, ND; two great

grandchildren, Abram and

Bethany Lutheran

Church, Minot.

Interment: Our Savior

Lutheran Cemetery, rural

Glenburn, ND.

Visitation: Friday from

5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at

Thompson-Larson Fun-

eral Home, Minot.
