Bonnie Mehlhoff
Sept. 20, 1942-May 28, 2019
Bonnie Mehlhoff lost
her battle to ALS on May
28, 2019 and what a jour-
ney it was. She was posi-
tive, determined, strong
and gracious. Although
we don’t think of it as a
“lost battle” because she
put up a good fight, we
now think of her as smil-
ing, laughing, dancing,
golfing and living life to
the fullest.
She was born in
Longview, WA on Sep-
tember 20, 1942 to June
and David Albrecht, the
second oldest of five sis-
ters, Carol, Arliss, Ruth
and Ruby. She graduated
from Minot High School.
In 1960, she married Del
Rees and moved to Cali-
fornia. They had two
beautiful daughters, Tara
and Brenda. They were
her pride and joy.
Bonnie moved back to
North Dakota in 1990. She
sold watches from a kiosk
at the Dakota Square Mall
for three years and it was
during this time that she
met Curtis Mehlhoff.
They were married in
1994 and celebrated al-
most 20 years of marriage.
Bonnie was a success-
ful saleswoman in the fur-
niture business with her
final position at I. Keating
Furniture World in
Bismarck. She was so
proud of her accomplish-
ments there and her many
friends she made along
the way.
She loved spending
time with family and just
adored her grandchildren
and great-grandchildren.
Bonnie loved golfing and
dancing with Curt. She
was full of life and en-
joyed every minute.
