Kathryn Cline

Kathryn Cline, 85,

Minot and formerly of

Wilton and Kongsberg

died on Tuesday, May 7,

2019 in a Minot health-

care center.

Kathryn Irene was born

on January 2, 1934 in El-

bowoods, ND to Phillip

and Bertha (Sprenger)

Christman. She was

raised in Garrrison and

the Butte area, attended

Butte area schools, gra-

duated from Butte High

School in 1953 and at-

tended Minot State

University for three years.

Kathy married Alvin

Dinga in June of 1952 on

the Christman family farm

near Kongsberg. They

made their home on a

farm in the Kongsberg

area and Kathy taught

school. The family moved

to Minot in 1965 where

she was employed at

Cummins Diesel and

Minot Office Supply.

Kathy and Alvin di-

vorced in 1971 and Kathy

moved to Orem, Utah in

1976 where she was em-

ployed at an electronics

company soldering com-

puterboards. She returned

to North Dakota in 1991

and resided in Wilton

where she was a caregiver

at the Redwood Village.

She moved to Minot in

June of 2013 and resided

at the Henry Towers.

Kathy especially en-

joyed crocheting with

doilies being her favorite

project. Also, she espe-

cially enjoyed the friend-

ship of and bingo with the

girls at the Henry Towers

and Grainhopper.

Kathy’s survivors in-

clude: her children: Mark

Dinga of Wilton, John

Dinga of Minot and Paul

(Lisa) Dinga of Heber,

Utah; grandchildren:

Mikeal (Brianna), Shaylee,

Cody Dinga, Lola and

Lake Dinga and Cassie

Gregory; siblings: Leona

Peterson of Denver, Elaine

Boozenny of Butte and

Delmar Christman of

Spencer, Iowa and several

nieces, nephews and

cousins.

Kathy was preceded in

death by: her parents and

brother: Phillip “Sonny”

Christman Jr.

Celebration of the Life

of Kathy Cline: Tuesday,

May 14, 2019 at 11:00

a.m. in Vincent United

Methodist Church, Minot.

Interment will be in the

Butte Community

Cemetery.

Visitation: Monday

from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00

p.m. in Thomas Family

Funeral Home, Minot.
