Evangeline June Baard-
son went to be with her
Savior Jesus, on Tuesday
April 23, 2019 at the Palli-
ative Care Unit of Sanford
Hospital, Fargo ND.
Vangie was born in
Anamoose ND on August
21, 1934 to Leonard
(“Slim”) Seibold and Edna
(Fetzer) Seibold. Follow-
ing graduation from
Makoti, ND High School
she taught at a country
school in the area. On
March 12th 1954 she mar-
ried David Baardson.
They moved to the
Parshall ND area where
they farmed for most of
their lives until their re-
tirement. She served her
community by driving for
the Parshall school dis-
trict, delighting in the
many kids that filled her
bus for over 27 years.
Gifted in working with
numbers, she served as a
bookkeeper in a clinic and
with the farm. A sports
fan, Vangie enjoyed bowl-
ing; golfing; and cheering
on local and pro sports
teams. Wheel of Fortune
and The Price Is Right
were a regular part of her
day whenever she could.
In retirement Vangie
and David enjoyed 19
winters in Tonto Basin
AZ. where they enjoyed
four wheeling and camp-
ing in the desert; singing,
visiting, fishing, and play-
ing cards with great
friends; and the beautiful
weather.
Vangie is survived by
her husband David Baard-
son; brother Wesley
Seibold of Colorado City
Texas; son Vernon Baard-
son (Kayanne “Casey “) of
West Fargo ND; daughter
Brenda Aamot (David) of
Surprise AZ; Grandchil-
dren: Andrea Haser
Surprise AZ; Than Baard-
son Moorhead MN; Tori
Oesterreich Phoenix AZ; 5
Great-Grandchildren:
Quinn, Zachary, Arden,
Ronan, and Mira. And
Uncle Victor Fetzer (Shir-
ley) Toms River NJ; dear
nieces, nephews, and
cousins.
She was preceded in
death by her mother and
father; many beloved
grandparents; uncles,
aunts, and cousins and
especially her beloved
Uncle William (“Billy”)
Fetzer of Jamestown ND.
A memorial service will
be held Sunday, April 28,
2019 at 2 PM at Riverview
Place Chapel in Fargo, ND
with visitation one hour
prior.
