Arnold Raymond Larson

Arnold Raymond Lar-
son, 89, Towner, died on
Tuesday, March 12, 2019
at the Heart of America
Medical Center in Rugby.
He was born at Berwick
on December 3, 1929 to
Oscar and Olena (Soren-
son) Larson. Arnold went
to county school and
helped on the family
farm. In 1957 he became a
partner with his brother,
Clifford, in Towner Imple-
ment – the John Deere
dealer. They operated the
business until 1978 when
the dealership was closed.
After his retirement he
enjoyed buying and sel-
ling at flea markets and
farmer’s markets in North
Dakota and in Arizona,
where he spent some
winters. He will also be
remembered for his large
garden in Towner and en-
joyed sharing his produce
with friends and neigh-
bors.
Arnold was a member
of Zion Lutheran Church
in Towner.
He moved to Rugby in
2014 and entered Heart of
America Medical Center
Care Unit in late 2018.
He is survived by
nephews Loren, David
and James Halvorson and
nieces Beverly
Trowbridge and Jolene
Stewart. He also leaves
his sister-in-law Twila
Larson and her children
in addition to several
cousins. He was preceded
in death by his mother in
1980 and his father 1967,
his sister Myrtle (Morris)
Halvorson, and his broth-
er Clifford Larson.
A grave side burial ser-
vice will be held at the
Union Cemetery in Town-
er in early summer.
