McDonald, 68, Wood-
lands, TX, passed away
Friday, January 18, 2019,
at the Houston Hospice
Center after a seven-
month battle with cancer.
Larry was born Sep-
tember 10, 1950 in Bot-
tineau, ND to Harvey and
Marjorie (Hubberd)
McDonald. He attended
Souris Public School
grades 1-12, graduating in
1968. He started working
for Cargil Grains and later
for the USDA federal
grain inspection.
Larry married Linda
Gleber in New Orleans
and to this union three
daughters were born and
raised in Kansas City,
MO.
After retirement Larry
moved back to his roots
and bought a home at
Lake Metigoshe, his favor-
ite place to be. He had a
love for the Colorado
mountains, where he and
his friends skied yearly.
He met his second wife,
Ruthann McGee, on the
slopes. They spent 10
years together traveling.
They had yearly cruises
and recently spent a
month in Thailand.
Larry was a kind soul
and looked for the good in
each person. He loved
nothing more than a prac-
tical joke.
Love is not an easy feel-
ing to put into words nor
loyalty or trust or joy, but
he was all of these. He
gave us strength in time of
trouble and wisdom in
time of uncertainty. He
will be by our side. He
loved life completely and
lived it intensely.
He leaves behind his
wife Ruthann, step-
daughters; Reagan and
Haley, all of Woodlands,
TX, two daughters, Tif-
fany Nyquist, Kansas City,
MO and Ashley (Frank)
Kozer, Kansas City, MO,
two grandsons, Maximus
and Atticus Kozer, sisters;
Linda McDonald, Minot
and Sheri (Darin) En-
dresen, Minot and broth-
er, Lonny McDonald,
Souris, ND.
He was preceded in
death by his Parents and
daughter, Britney.
His family plans a cele-
bration of his life this
coming summer.
