Ella Anderson

Sept. 3, 1925 – Jan. 22, 2019

Ella Anderson, 93,

Minot, died Tuesday,

January 22, 2019 in a

Minot nursing home.

Ella was born Sep-

tember 3, 1925 at Egeland,

ND the daughter of Oscar

and Theresa (Hein) Cilz.

She was raised and edu-

cated in a rural setting

near Willow City and bap-

tized and confirmed at St.

Paul Missouri Synod

Lutheran Church at Wil-

low City.

She was united in mar-

riage to Vernon Anderson

June 7, 1949 in Minot.

They remained active in

farming north of Minot

until 1990.

Mom lived a simple life,

and when she lost her

husband, Vernon in 2001,

lived on her own, always

keeping her house spic

and span and orderly.

She took care of herself

and the house until Dec.

2018 when she fell ill be-

cause of heart failure.

She had a pacemaker

put in in 2012, which

gave her a fresh start for

more wonderful years.

Thank goodness for Trini-

ty Hospital and the great

doctors. She had endured

an abdominal aneurysm

within 2 months of that,

but true to herself, made a

huge turkey for

Thanksgiving dinner be-

fore that surgery.

Her special way of mak-

ing meals were all from

scratch her whole life,

and oh so good. Our

favorites were her lasagna,

taco salad, French cream

puffs, Angel Food Cake,

always with real whipped

cream and raspberries.

Her buttermilk pancakes

were the best, also her

borscht soup was a big

hit.

She loved travelling to

Montana, to Glacier Park

in an RV to meet up with

her brother, travelling to

Arizona to visit family as

well as Washington State.

She would pick huckle-

berries and Flathead cher-

ries in Glacier Park, and

feed seagulls on the coast.

We will miss her

laughter and simple life of

flowers and gardening,

she had magic with

flowers. She read her bi-

ble daily, I am sure her

prayers saved us many

times over. Thank you,

mom. We love you so.

This is the essence of her.

Her loving family in-

cludes: three daughters;

Carol (Richard) Wilson,

Minot, ND, Alvina (Roger)

German, Federal Way,

WA, Virginia (Tim) Ryan,

dren: Spencer (Tiffany)

Ashton, Idaho, Jerome

(Bethany) Ryan, Yelm,

death by her parents, hus-

vice will be held at St.
