Micheal Shaw

MOHALL – Micheal

Keith Shaw, 66, Mohall,

died Thursday, Dec. 20,

2018, at a Minot hospital.

He was born April 29,

1952, at Trinity Hospital,

Minot, to Jess and Anna

(Weber) Shaw. He was

raised in Maxbass and

graduated from Maxbass

High School in 1970.

While in high school, he

loved playing basketball

under the guidance of his

favorite teacher and

coach, Arne Kruse.

He entered the work-

force in high school,

working for Farden Con-

struction and other vari-

ous jobs. He worked for

Ernie Christianson, learn-

ing all the ins and outs of

his trade. In the early

1970s, he became an in-

dependent contractor,

starting Shaw’s Construc-

tion in Mohall. He built

his first house when he

was 23. He was always

very proud of the law of-

fice he built in Kenmare

for John Steinberger. He

also worked for Viking

Lumber in Mohall during

the slow winter months.

He really liked working

and teaching others the

skills of his trade. He re-

tired in 2014 due to his

health.

Mike married Norma

Sundahl on Dec. 3, 1976,

in Mohall. They have

three children, Robert,

Brian and Sarah.

Mike loved watching

sports and was an avid

fan of the Green Bay Pack-

ers, Boston Celtics and

New York Yankees. Al-

ways the channel-flipper,

but he would wind up

watching the same

western for the 100th

time.

great-nephews and

cousins.

Mike was preceded in

death by: his parents, Jess

and Anna Shaw; father-

and mother-in-law, Nor-

man and Sarah Sundahl;

brothers, Tom and Teddy

Shaw; sisters-in-law, B.J.

Shaw and Judy Sundahl;

brother-in-law, Joe Ni-

cholsen; nephew, Christo-

pher Shaw and his

beloved pet, Tuffy.

Funeral: 2 p.m., Thurs-

day, Dec. 27, 2018, at

Zion Lutheran Church,

Mohall.

Burial: Mohall Com-

munity Cemetery, Mohall.

Visitation: 11 a.m. until

the service time, Thurs-

day, at the church. In

wear blue jeans.
