Aaron Johnson

Aaron Paul Johnson, 54,

Carpio, died Friday, De-

cember 21, 2018 on ar-

rival at a Minot Hospital.

Aaron was born Oc-

tober 22, 1964 in Minot,

North Dakota to Paul and

Ardella (Larson) Johnson.

He was raised on the fam-

ily farm near Carpio and

educated at Carpio, gra-

duating from Carpio High

School in 1982. He assist-ed his father with the

operation of the family

farm, along with his uncle

and aunt, Clifford and

June Dahlseng.

Aaron was united in

marriage to Tricia John-

son on September 30,

1989 in Sherwood. They

began farming on their

own in 1991 and lived in

Carpio for 18 years. From

this union, two children

were born: Nicole Erin in

1996 and Kaitlyn Marie in

1998. Aaron also assisted

his parents as needed in

the operation of their

farm. In 2007, the family

moved out to the

Dahlseng farm located in

Mayland Township of

Ward County. In 2015,

they began renting out the

land to Travis and Sum-

mer Engelhard and Aaron

assisted them with the

operation of the farm

these past few years.

Aaron was a member of

Carpio Lutheran Church.

He was also a member of

the Farmer’s Union Oil

Company Board and Car-

pio City Council for a

number of years. He en-

joyed traveling with his

family, along with taking

his UTV on area prairie

trails and hills around

Carpio.

His loving family in-

cludes: wife, Tricia John-

son of Carpio; daughters,

Nicole Erin of Minot and

Kaitlyn Marie of Minot;

mother, Ardella Johnson

of Minot; sister, Mary

(Roger) Johnson, Don-

nybrook; nieces, Carrie,

Laura and Hope.

Aaron was preceded in

death by: his father, Paul

Johnson.

Celebration of Life ser-

vice: Thursday, December

27, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. in

Carpio Lutheran Church.

Interment: St. John’s

Cemetery, Rural Carpio.

Visitations & Prayer

Service: Wednesday, De-

cember 26th from

2:00-4:00 p.m. in Thomas

Family Funeral Home,

Minot and from 6:00-7:00

p.m. at the Carpio Luth-

eran Church with a Public

Prayer service to follow at

7:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers or

plants memorials are pre-

ferred to Carpio Lutheran

Church and St. John’s

Cemetery of Carpio.
