90, Ryder, passed away

at Benedictine Living

Center, Garrison, North

Dakota. Funeral services

will be held on Saturday

at 10:00 am at Vincent

United Methodist Church

in Minot. Burial will be at

Sunset Memorial Gardens

in Minot at 1:00 pm.

Visitation will be held

on Friday from 4 to 7 pm

at Thompson Funeral

Home in Garrison.

The son of John C. and

Delphine (Anderson) Han-

sen, Wayne was born De-

cember 18, 1927 on the

family farm in Blue Hill

Township, rural Ryder,

ND. Wayne would make

this farm his home for the

next 85 years.

Wayne attended Hid-

denwood School through

Grade 8. June 18, 1961,

he married Carol Jean

Anderson at Calvary Pres-

byterian Church in Ryder.

They made their home on

the Hansen family farm

where they raised their

four children: Annette,

Jon, Ardyce & Jay. Wayne

also did custom hay

grinding for many years.

He enjoyed farming and

ranching with his family

until he retired in 2014.

Wayne & Carol Jean en-

joyed spending the winter

months in Apache Junc-

tion, Arizona for over 20

years. June 2014, they

moved to Edgewood Vista

in Minot where they lived

until July 2018 when they

moved to Benedictine Liv-

ing Center in Garrison.

Prior to retirement,

Wayne served on

numerous boards. He

served on both the Blue

Hill Township board and

West McLean Mutual In-

surance for about 40 years

each. He also served on

the Farmers Union Local

and County boards, Cal-

vary Presbyterian Church

board and Ryder Credit

Union board. Wayne en-

joyed Sunday evening

whist parties at the Hid-

denwood Schoolhouse

and square dancing with

Carol Jean and the kids all

in matching outfits.

Wayne often said he

couldn’t have found a

better wife and spoke

proudly of their children

and grandchildren.

his parents John & Del-

phie, in-laws Adolph &

Annette Anderson, infant

sister, sister Helen Smith,

brother & sister-in-law

Mervyn & Bonnie Hansen,

sister-in-law Janet Ander-

son.

Survived by: his wife,

Carol Jean, of 57 years.

nybrook, Jon & Debbie

Hansen of Ryder, Ardyce

& Troy Huber of Minot

and Jay & Melissa Hansen

of Ryder. Grandchildren:
