Marlyn Redman, 82,

Minot, passed away on

Sunday, July 15, 2018 in

her home.

Marlyn Jane Eslinger

was born on August 7,

1935, a daughter of Gust

and Ida (Zimmerle) Es-

linger in Elgin, ND. She

was raised and educated

in Elgin, where she gra-

duated as Valedictorian of

her class in 1953. She

furthered her education

by attending the National

College of Business in Ra-

pid City, SD.

On April 1, 1956, she

was united in marriage to

L.H. “Peanuts” Redman in

Elgin, ND. They made

their home in Minot

where she worked as a

medical secretary at the

John Moses Military Hos-

pital. In 1973; they pur-

chased Devine Abstract

Company of Minot. To-

gether they operated it un-

til his death on January 5,

1988. She continued to

operate the business as

well as being the owner/

operator of the Hillcrest

Motel for a number of

years until her retirement

in 2017.

Marlyn was a member

of the North Dakota Land

Title Association (past

president), North Dakota

Board of Abstract Exa-

miners, North Dakota

Land Title Board of Exa-

miners, Minot Motel As-

sociation, and Minot Con-

vention and Visitors

Bureau. She was also a

member of the First Luth-

eran Church of Minot.

She is survived by:

Daughter Del Rae (Ron)

Williams, Moorhead, MN;

daughter-in-law: Dia Red-

man, N. St. Paul, MN;

four grandchildren: Benja-

min J. Redman, Adam J.

Redman, Lyndis H. Willi-

ams and Samuel E. Willi-

ams; siblings: Nita (JeRay)

Bellon, Geraldine Bellon,

Lester (Janice) Eslinger;

sisters-in-law: Bonnie

(Larry) Roth, Alta Es-

linger; and best friend

Theresa Gruenberg;

several nieces, nephews

and cousins also survive.

She was preceded in

death by her parents, hus-

band Lilburn, son Darren,

brother Wilmer and a

brother-in-law Gerald.

Visitation: Saturday,

July 21, 2018 one hour

prior to the service at the

church.

Funeral Service: Satur-

day, July 21, 2018 at 11

am at First Lutheran

Church, Minot.

Burial: Saturday at 1

pm at Rosehill Memorial

Park, Minot.
