Marie Black was born

November 11, 1939, the

daughter of Fabian and

Lena (Kurtz) Black, in

Rugby, ND. She was

raised and educated in

Berwick, ND.

Marie volunteered at

the Salvation Army, the

All Season’s Arena, and

Headstart until she re-

tired.

She was a member of

St. Leo’s Catholic Church.

She enjoyed playing

Bingo and cards, shop-

ping, and loved her cats.

Most of all, she loved her

children and enjoyed trav-

eling to visit them.

Surviving family in-

cludes: daughters, Lisa

Black, Spanaway, WA,

and Terri Black, Waunak-

ee, WI; sisters, Barbara

(Ted) Jaeger, Rugby, ND,

and Angeline Keller,

Karlsruhe, ND, Frances

Duchsherer, Drake, ND,

Irene Dosch, Auburn,

WA; and numerous

nieces, nephews and

cousins.

Marie was preceded in

death by: her parents;

brother, Fabian Black Jr.;

sister, Rosella (Fred)

Kruger; brothers-in-law,

Bernard Keller, William

Duchsherer, and Aloys

Dosch; and a niece, Pame-

la Duchsherer.

Service: Thursday, April

26, 2018, at 1:00 p.m. at

Thompson-Larson Fun-

eral Home Chapel, Minot.

Interment: Rosehill

Memorial Park, Minot,

ND.

Visitation: There will be

no reviewal, but friends

may sign the register book

and visit with her family

on Thursday one hour

prior to the service at
