Leona Bush

April 10, 1936-April 16, 2018

Leona Bush, 82, Minot,

ND, passed away Monday,

April 16, 2018, in a

Garrison care center.

Leona Jean Boucher was

born April 10, 1936, the

daughter of Emanuel Ra-

domski and Joanna

“Jenny” (Bohn) Boucher,

in Sawyer, ND. She was

raised and educated in

Velva, ND and graduated

from Velva High School

in 1954. She would later

take correspondence

courses through the Min-

neapolis College of Art

and Design.

Leona married James

Hager, Sr. in Velva, ND in

1957. They made their

home in Velva and from

this union six children

were born. The couple

would later divorce in

1972. Leona was later gift-

ed with another son: Leo-

nard. She married Daniel

“Dan” Bush on November

10, 1986 in Minot. Dan

passed away on July 3,

2010.

Leona married Harry

Laib on December 9, 2017

at Grace Fellowship

Church of Burlington, ND.

Leona was once a Lab

Secretary at St. Joseph’s

Hospital of Minot. She

was an artist and a photo-

grapher and enjoyed

painting and taking por-

traits. She also had a great

love of dancing, going out

to supper and going for

walks in the park. She en-

joyed spending time with

her grandchildren and

great-grandchildren. Leo-

na enjoyed helping others;

if you were known by her,

you were loved by her.

Leona was a one of a

kind person. Her per-

sonality shined brighter

than the sun! Her big

heart would give you

every last thing she had if

you needed it. Her silly

side would make you

laugh until you cried, and

her honest, but very fun-

ny, sarcasm made her un-

forgettable! She spoke be-

fore thinking and never

sugar coated those words;

she was genuine and real!

She will be greatly treas-

ured and missed by

many!
