Marcia Nieman
Marcia L. Nieman, 69,
of Berthold, formerly of
Minot, died Sunday, Dec.
27, 2015, in her home.
Marcia Lee Hagen was
born Sept. 26, 1946, the
daughter of Clifford and
Jean (Whittle) Hagen, in
Cut Bank, Mont. She was
raised and educated in
Cut Bank, graduating from
Cut Bank High School in
1964.
Marcia married Norman
Nieman Sept. 19, 1964, in
Cut Bank. Together they
had three daughters. They
made their home in a
variety of states and over-
seas in Germany, follow-
ing Norm’s career in the
U.S. Air Force.
They finally made their
home in Minot on July 31,
1981. Marcia worked for a
number of years on the
Minot Air Force Base in
the Base Exchange Store
and as a medical clerk at
the base hospital. She and
Norm moved to Berthold
in 2012 due to the flood.
Marcia was a member
of Zion Lutheran Church
of Berthold, the Sew So-
ciety of Sawyer, Minot
Public Library Quilting
Club, the Sons of Norway
and was an auxiliary
member of the American
Legion.
Marcia enjoyed quilt-
ing, sewing, ceramics, oil
painting and china paint-
ing. Together she and
Norm enjoyed touring
throughout the state and
Canada watching stock
car racing. Marcia also en-
joyed traveling in their
motorhome to go camping
with Norm and often their
grandchildren.
Marcia was a hard-
working woman with a
fighting spirit in her heart.
She worked tirelessly to
overcome many of life’s
obstacles. Marcia was
loved and cherished by all
who met her and will be
deeply missed.

cludes: her husband of 51
years, Norm Nieman, of
Berthold; daughters, Jan-
ette (Dave) Bower, Palmer,
Alaska, Debbie Nieman
and Corine (Todd) Christ-
man, all Berthold; grand-
children, Jodee Rahe (Ja-
son Cox), JT Rahe, Chris-
topher Persinger, Saman-
tha Christman, Brandon
Christman, Noah Christ-
man, Alexis Christman,
Michelle Bower, Tammy
(Denali) Rice, LuAnn
(Lowell) Button, David
Bower Jr. and Nathan
(Maranda) Bower; great-
grandchildren, Erin Bow-
er, Christine, Grace and
Eli Rice, Julian William-
son, Gabriella Bower and
Khloee and Mason Cox;
brothers, Chuck (Nancy)
Hagen, Kalispell, Mont.,
and Cliff (Phyllis) Hagen,

ers and sister-in-law, Gail

(Erna) Nieman and Phyllis
Simmons; and numerous
nieces, nephews and
cousins.
Marcia was preceded
in death by: her parents;
her grandson, Aaron
Christman; and numerous
aunts and uncles.
Funeral Service: 11
a.m. Friday, Jan. 1, at Zion
Lutheran Church, Berth-
old.
Burial: Wildrose Ceme-
tery, Berthold.
Visitation: 2 to 5 p.m.
