Matthew Mize, Minot, sentenced for intent to deliver meth

Matthew Ford Mize, 38, Minot, was sentenced on Jan. 19 to 10 years in prison, with a requirement that he serve three years, and three years of supervised probation, for Class B felony possession with intent to deliver methamphetamine. He received a concurrent sentence of three years for Class C felony fleeing a police officer, his second offense. Judge Doug Mattson gave him credit for 110 days served in jail and 15 days off his sentence for good behavior and ordered Mize to pay $1,000 in court costs and to obtain a chemical dependency evaluation.

Other charges against Mize were dismissed.

The offenses took place on Oct. 2, 2021.

Mize was charged following a high-speed chase by law enforcement, according to court documents, and the meth was found after Mize was stopped.
