Trial scheduled for Dec. 7 for Kasondra Grant on charge that she conspired to distribute fentanyl

Trial is scheduled for Dec. 7 in U.S. District Court in Bismarck for Kasondra Kaye Grant, 26, on charges that she was part of a conspiracy to distribute opiate pills containing a fentanyl and oxycodone mixture in Minot and New Town and on the Fort Berthold reservation and elsewhere in the state, beginning in 2019 and through March 2020.

Her co-defendant, Kayla Marie Keyes, 32, was sentenced in April to 4 years in federal prison, with credit for time served, followed by three years of supervised probation.

The prosecution has filed to revoke Grant’s probation pending trial after alleging that she failed to report to her probation officer in August and has not been living at her mother’s home in Rolette as had been agreed as a condition of her pre-trial release. Grant is currently in custody at the Ward County Jail.
