Agency hosts meeting on community-based services

BISMARCK – The North Dakota Department of Human Services is hosting a stakeholder meeting on Thursday to seek input on expanding access to in-home and community-based services for individuals with physical disabilities.

Discussion will center on implementation of a U.S. Department of Justice settlement agreement. Announced in December 2020, the settlement agreement focuses on expanding access to in-home and community-based services so that individuals with physical disabilities who otherwise would be in care facilities can live in the least restrictive setting possible.

The meeting will be held from 1-3 p.m., originating from the Prairie Rose Room in the department’s Prairie Hills Plaza location, 1237 W. Divide Ave. Suite 6, Bismarck. Face masks and physical distancing are recommended.

People also can participate by telephone by calling 328-0950, using conference ID 512 398 907#.

Information for accessing the meeting online is available at www.nd.gov/dhs/info/publicnotice/2021/9-16-doj-settlement-agreement-stakeholder-meeting.pdf.
