Paige Madison Sager, 24, Minot, is charged in district court in Minot with Class C felony child endangerment for allegedly exposing a child in her residence to illegal drugs and Class A misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia on May 28.

According to a probable cause affidavit filed with the court, the Ward County Narcotics Task Force searched a southeast residence also occupied by other people after they received a tip that a child was in the residence and the adults had used drugs in front of the child and drugs and paraphernalia were easily accessible to the child.

The search turned up pipes, water pipes and tubes with suspected methamphetamine residue, some of which were located in the bathroom on the toilet and on a kitchen counter. A plastic bag containing meth and a meth pipe were found in one man’s pants pocket. A plastic bag containing meth and an alprazolam pill were found in another man’s pants pocket. A gun box matching the serial number of a firearm found earlier in a hotel room rented by Ira Montriece Jones, 36, was found in a room along with burned aluminum foil. Other pipes were found in common areas of the residence. Jones was charged with Class C felony possession of drug paraphernalia.

Jones was charged last week in another case with Class B felony possession with intent to deliver methamphetamine, two counts of Class C felony possession of drug paraphernalia, Class C felony felon in possession of a firearm and Class B misdemeanor refusal to halt.

According to court documents in that case, police spotted him get out of a vehicle that is associated with making frequent short trips associated with drug trafficking outside a southwest Minot hotel. They attempted to detain Jones as he was emerging from his room, but Jones argued with them and fled on foot.

Ward County Narcotics Task Force officers located Jones in the hotel parking lot. They traced Jones’ path and discovered two plastic bags containing methamphetamine in a garbage can next to the door Jones had just gone through. The bags contained a combined 24 grams of meth. Jones’ room at the hotel was searched, which turned up a scale with suspected meth residue, money and a Ruger semi-automatic pistol.
