Emanuel Campbell, Minot, charged with hitting man in head with bat

Emanuel Lee Campbell, 35, Minot, is accused of hitting a man in the head with a wooden bat during an altercation on April 15.

Campbell is charged in district court in Minot with Class C felony aggravated assault.

According to the probable cause affidavit filed with the court, the alleged victim told Campbell he was not allowed to be at a residence and Campbell then hit him in the head with the bat. The alleged victim told police he lost consciousness for about 30 seconds after he was struck. The alleged victim refused to be transported to the hospital after the incident.

Campbell was scheduled to make an initial appearance on the charge on Thursday before Judge Stacy Louser.
