Corey Sandusky, Jefferson City, Mont., receives deferred sentence for reckless endangerment

Corey John Sandusky, 34, of Jefferson City, Mont., received a deferred imposition of sentence for 360 days on April 29 in district court in Minot for accidentally discharging a gun at a southwest Minot hotel on Sept. 16, 2020. A bullet from the gun went through the wall into a neighboring room and landed on a bed next to one of three occupants in the neighboring room. No one in the other room was injured. He had originally been charged with Class C felony reckless endangerment but pleaded guilty to the lesser offense of Class A misdemeanor reckless endangerment. The charge will be dismissed if Sandusky complies with all court conditions.

Judge Doug Mattson also ordered Sandusky to pay $325 in court costs.
