T4 event introduces students in region to workforce skills

WATFORD CITY – Students from throughout the region will be in Watford City Wednesday and Thursday for the T4 – Tools, Trades, Torque, Tech – event.

The event introduces students to workforce skills, needs, training and networking opportunities with industry leaders and technicians.

Students in grades 7-9 will attend on Wednesday and students in grades 10-12 on Thursday. The event is planned for the Rough Rider Center and Watford City High School Auditorium.

Students attending will participate in sessions and see demonstrations from leaders in career industries including:

– Manufacturing

– Agriculture (precision agriculture)

– Technology

– Aviation/Unmanned aircraft systems

– Cyber Security

– Bio Science

– Transportation

– Trades: HVAC, plumbing, electrical, mechanical systems, building construction, welding

– Land surveying and civil engineering technology

– Energy careers including electrical power, electrical transmission systems, energy services and renewable technician, instrumentation and control, line worker, mechanical maintenance, nuclear power, petroleum production, power generation, process technology, water and wastewater, green energy innovation and research and lignite technology.

Sessions and demonstrations will be presented and facilitated by industry professionals and educators.
