NDDOT hosts virtual input meeting on Minot bridge work

A virtual public input meeting is being held to receive comments on proposed improvements to three highway/railway separation bridges in Minot.

The North Dakota Department of Transportation will have the event open until April 30 at dot.nd.gov by clicking on “Public Meetings” under Quick Links. A pre-recorded presentation and other materials also are available.

Minor rehabilitation is proposed on the U.S. Highway 83 West Bypass bridge, the U.S. Highway 2 bridge just west of the West Burdick Expressway intersection and East Burdick Expressway bridge just west of Valley Street. Work proposed for each structure varies, but includes structural repairs, lighting, minor paving and incidental work.

Work is anticipated in 2022. Total cost is estimated at $3.2 million and would be largely paid with federal and state funding.

The virtual meeting is being facilitated by the NDDOT, City of Minot and Houston Engineering.

Written statements or comments about this project must be postmarked or emailed by April 30 to Brad Pfeifer, Houston Engineering, 3712 Lockport Street, Bismarck, ND 58503 or email: bpfeifer@houstoneng.com with “Virtual Public Input Meeting” in the subject heading.
