North Dakota airports receive COVID relief

WASHINGTON – Minot and area airports will share in $6.4 million being distributed in North Dakota by Federal Aviation Administration as COVID-19 relief, according to Sens. Kevin Cramer and John Hoeven, both R-ND.

Fifteen airports are receiving grants. They include: Minot International Airport, $1.69 million; Watford City Airport Authority, $13,000; Kenmare Municipal Airport Authority, $13,000; Washburn Municipal Airport, $9,000; and Crosby Airport Authority, $9,000.

This funding, made available under the Consolidated Appropriations Act passed by Congress in December, will be used to support a healthy and safe traveling environment by supplementing the cost to clean, sanitize and combat the spread of pathogens at airports.
