Limited COVID Vaccine Available for Ages 75 and Older

First District Health Unit announced today it has a very limited supply of COVID-19 vaccine for people 75 years of age and older. Vaccinations are by appointment only. To make an appointment, please call First District Health Unit at 852-1376. These appointments are expected to fill quickly.

Because of the limited supply, people who have had the COVID-19 disease in the past 90 days may choose to wait to be vaccinated, allowing that dose to go instead to someone with no present immunity.

First District expects vaccine supply to continue to be sporadic as doses are allocated across the state and nation. Additional appointment slots will be opened immediately upon receiving each commitment of vaccine. If you call for an appointment and there are no time slots available, please call again another day. Small amounts of vaccine may become available with very little advance notice.

People age 75 and up are the first priority group in Phase 1B. Because of the limited vaccine available, First District will not begin vaccinating any other priority group in Phase 1B at this time. Individuals in the Phase 1A priority groups who have not yet been vaccinated can also call for appointments at this time.
