Grady Floyd sentenced to 2 years probation for intent to deliver marijuana

Grady Lee Floyd, 25, Minot, pleaded guilty on Friday to Class B felony intent to deliver marijuana and two counts of Class A misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia and received a two year deferred imposition of sentence for two years of supervised probation. He received concurrent sentences for all of the charges. He will receive credit for 44 days time served in the Ward County Jail and six days off his sentence for good behavior. If he successfully completes probation, the charges will be dismissed. Floyd was also ordered to pay court costs and fines. Under the terms of a plea deal, Class B felony intent to deliver cocaine and Class C felony possession of drug paraphernalia charge were dismissed against Floyd.

According to a probable cause affidavit filed with the court, Floyd posted a video via Snapchat that showed a large amount of marijuana and a large amount of U.S. currency and the interior of a residence at 1808 35th Avenue SE. Police obtained a search warrant for the residence and located marijuana in plain view on the table and a cut straw with white powder. In a duffle bag, they also found 14 individually packaged baggies containing marijuana, four nearly full one ounce containers of marijuana, two baggies containing suspected cocaine, one weighing 1.4 gram and one weighing 2.2 grams. They also found a scale with suspected drug residue, two ledgers containing details of drug transactions and a coffee can containing $515 in U.S. currency. They found two marijuana grinders in the drawer under the oven. Floyd claimed the firearm belonged to his brother.

Envie Meshaye Jackson-Jones, 27, Minot, who reportedly rented the residence, was charged earlier this week with with Class B felony intent to deliver cocaine, Class B felony intent to deliver marijuana, and Class C felony maintaining a residence for the sale of drugs. Jackson-Jones said in court the charges against her are false.
