David Cartagena-Rodriguez, Gisselle Bernard, Pontiac, Mich., charged with intent to deliver fentanyl
David Cartagena-Rodriguez, 26, Pontiac, Mich., is charged in district court in Minot with Class A felony intent to deliver 84.9 grams of fentanyl and Class A felony intent to deliver a fentanyl analog while in possession of a firearm. His co-defendant, Gisselle Bernard, 21, Pontiac, Mich., is charged in district court in Minot with Class A felony intent to deliver 84.9 grams of fentanyl and Class A felony conspiracy to deliver fentanyl.
Both made initial appearances on Friday Cartagena-Rodriguez and Bernard before Judge Todd Cresap, who set bond at $50,000 cash or corporate surety and set a preliminary hearing date for Feb. 12.
A prosecutor noted that fentanyl is a lethal drug and many of the overdose deaths in the area have been attributed to fentanyl.
