Christmas in the Park lights up Minot starting Nov. 27

The Minot Sertoma Club will decorate Oak Park with Christmas-themed lights again this season. The lights will be displayed beginning Nov. 27 and continuing through Jan. 2.

Hours will be 5:30 p.m. to 10 p.m. on week days and 5:30 p.m. to 11 p.m. on weekends. The price of admission will be $5 per car with a special rate for limousines and buses. People can pre-purchase tickets from Visit Minot or at any Marketplace Foods store in Minot. Tickets can be purchased five for $20. Tickets will also be available at the gate.

Money to support Sertoma activities is raised through a variety of activities such as Christmas in the Park. Money earned goes back into the community through different activities sponsored by Sertoma, a community service group. The Minot community in a variety of ways; areas of interest and service include speech and hearing disorders and youth-related activities. Sertoma supports local education through scholarships and supports organized activities such as STEAM T-ball league, Minot Family YMCA and Maysa Arena; financially supports the ND Center for Persons with Disabilities, North Dakota Hands and Voices, and the Induction Looping at Ann Nicole Nelson Hall and Amphitheater at Minot State University; and provides assistance to those with very specific needs.

“A drive through Christmas in the Park is sure to brighten your holidays,” said Paul Gillund, Sertoma president, in information provided by the organization. “We have several new bright and beautiful displays this year that are sure to put a smile on everyone’s face whether you’re 5 or 105.”
