Dale Burgard, Rugby, faces 10 years in prison on federal intent to deliver meth charge
Dale Anthony Burgard, 51, is scheduled to be sentenced Jan. 5, 2021, in federal court in Bismarck on a charge of possession with intent to deliver more than 300 grams of methamphetamine. The meth was on his person when he was arrested on Feb. 10, 2019, according to court documents.
The charge carries a maximum sentence of life in prison and a minimum sentence of 10 years in prison, followed by five years of supervised probation and a maximum fine of $10,000.
Under the terms of a plea deal, prosecutors will recommend that Burgard be sentenced to the mandatory minimum sentence and five years probation.
Burgard entered a guilty plea on Oct. 1.
