Erica Cornwall, Houston, charged with hitting woman with wine bottle in fight over ‘stolen trick’
Erica Tiana Cornwall, 25, Houston, Texas, is charged in district court in Minot with hitting another woman over the head with a wine bottle last Feb. 2.
According to a probable cause affidavit filed with the court, the alleged victim told police that she and Cornwall had been working as prostitutes in Minot. The alleged victim got angry because Cornwall had “stolen a trick” from her. She also accused Cornwall of stealing cash out of her purse.
Cornwall told police that they had gone out to a restaurant in Minot with their “boyfriends” and the other woman became so dramatic that even the man she had been with wanted nothing to do with her. They went back to their hotel room, where Cornwall claimed that the other woman had hit herself in the head with the wine bottle and also struck Cornwall in the head with the bottle.
According to the affidavit, Cornwall had a bump on her forehead after the incident.
The alleged victim sought treatment at the Trinity Hospital emergency room.
The Class C felony aggravated assault charge was filed March 12 but Cornwall was only scheduled to make an initial appearance before Judge Doug Mattson on Friday.
