Robert Blankenship Jr. charged with intent to deliver meth

Robert Franklin Blankenship Jr., 56, Minot, is charged in district court in Minot with Class B felony possession with intent to deliver methamphetamine, Class C felony possession of methamphetamine, Class C felony possesion of cocaine, Class C felony possession of cocaine paraphernalia, Class C felony possession of methamphetamine paraphernalia, Class A misdemeanor driving with a suspended driver’s license, his eighth offense, Class B misdemeanor possession of marijuana and possession of marijuana paraphernalia, an infraction.

According to the probable cause affidavit filed with the court, Blankenship was stopped for an out-of-date registration sticker by a Ward County deputy. The officer knew an active warrant existed for Blankenship and that his driver’s license was suspended. Blankenship’s probation officer gave the deputy permission to search the vehicle. The search turned up two bags of suspected methamphetamine, two glass pipes with suspected meth residue and a plastic tube container containing suspected meth. It also uncovered marijuana, unused syringes and other drug paraphernalia.

Blankenship admitted the items belonged to him.

His probation officer then gave permission to search his residence. A search of his bedroom turned up, among other things, crack cocaine and two electronic scales.
