The Minot Police Department is asking for assistance from those living between the 1100 to 1400 block of 1st and 2nd St SE to check their home surveillance systems for footage between the hours of 4:40 and 5 a.m. on Aug. 5.

“We are specifically looking for any video of people walking in the area or vehicles leaving the area that could be related to the explosion on Wednesday morning. Please contact the Minot Police Department at 701-852-0111 with any information on this incident,” police said.

Minot Police and the Minot Area Bomb Squad responded to a report of an explosion at a SE Minot residence. An intact improvised explosive device (IED) was found at the scene. The home had minor damage and the occupants were not injured.
