SRJB to hold meetings on Velva, Mouse River Park bridge projects

Public information meetings for two phases of the Mouse River Enhanced Flood Protection Project that were previously postponed due to COVID-19 have been re-scheduled. The phases include bridges in Velva and Mouse River Park.

The public information meetings are sponsored by the Souris River Joint Board and will include an open house and a formal presentation by project engineers. The meetings will provide information to neighborhood property owners and community members regarding the current design plans, potential traffic impacts and proposed detour routes, and information about what the community can expect as the project progresses.

The meeting on the Phase VE-1 Velva Bridge Replacement will be July 29 in the Velva School Gym at 101 4th St. W. An open house begins at 6:30 p.m., followed by a formal presentation at 7 p.m.

The meeting on the Phase RC-1 Mouse River Park Bridge Replacement will be July 30 in the Mohall Community Center at 807 Highway 5 East. The open house begins at 6:30 p.m. and the formal presentation at 7 p.m.
