Kyler Berdahl sentenced to two weeks time served, probation, for trespassing, assaulting relative

Kyler Thomas Berdahl, 21, was sentenced last week to 360 days in jail, all suspended but the 14 days he already spent in the Ward County Jail, and two years of supervised probation for trespassing at a relative’s house in Minot and hurting the relative’s leg when he kicked in her door during an argument on June 24.

Court records show that North Central District Court Judge Doug Mattson also ordered Berdahl to pay $525 in court costs and restitution yet to be determined and to have no contact with the relative. Berdahl was also ordered to complete a class for domestic violence offenders.

The sentences on the Class C felony trespassing and Class B misdemeanor domestic violence causing bodily injury charges are concurrent.

If Berdahl successfully completes probation, the Class C felony charge will be reduced to a Class A misdemeanor.
