Dennis Louis Trower, 69, Bismarck, is charged in district court in Minot with possession of a semi-trailer stolen from Bismarck, a Class B felony, on Wednesday.

According to a probable cause affidavit filed with the court, an employee of the firm that owns the semi called police on Wednesday afternoon and reported that he was following the semi east on East Burdick Expressway. He followed the truck to Schatz Crossroads in Minot, where the semi was parked in the rest area. The vehicle had been reported stolen from Bismarck. The employee was driving around Minot and recognized the truck and followed it.

Trower was placed under arrest and taken to the Ward County Jail. The semi was released to authorized employees of the company.

The owner of the company told police no one at the company knows Trower and he has no connection to the company.

The Freightliner is valued at $30,000.
