The Rev. Arland O. Fiske, former pastor of Bethany Lutheran Church, Minot, and a former contributing columnist to The Minot Daily News, died June 16 in Hopkins, Minn., at the age of 93.

Fiske also served area churches.

Fiske was a prolific writer. He wrote books and newspaper columns on Scandinavian heritage and books on the Psalms. He wrote the column, “The Scandinavian Heritage” for The Minot Daily News.

A private graveside family service will be held at Lakeport Cemetery, Laporte, Minn., on June 27.
