Roosevelt Park pool and splash pads open Saturday

Submitted Photo Roosevelt Park pool and splash pads are scheduled to open on Saturday.

The Minot Park District announced on Thursday that the Roosevelt Park pool and splash pads will be opening on Saturday.

The two splash pads are located in Oak Park and Radio City Park and will be open from 10 a.m.-8 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays. Attending the splash pads is free to the public.

The Roosevelt pool will have some updated rules and regulations during the COVID-19 pandemic. According to a press release, patrons are to enter through the main doors and go to the pool deck. The locker rooms will be unavailable for changing, so swimmers are being asked to arrive in their swimwear. Restrooms will be open for public use.

The water fountains will not be available for use, but patrons are welcome to bring their own water bottles. In addition, a vending machine with bottled water will be in service.

Pool visitors are being asked to exit through the gates only. The max pool capacity is set at 200 people and the kiddie pool is limited to 30 swimmers.

The Minot Park District also reminds the public that the large water slide will be closed while two new slides are built for the 2021 season.

Hours for the pool are as follows: Monday-Thursday from noon-5 p.m., and again from 6:30-8:30 p.m. Friday-Sunday from 1-8 p.m.
