Patrick Williams, Minot, sentenced to two years for terrorizing

Patrick John Williams, 26, Minot, was sentenced on Thursday to five years in prison, with a requirement that he serve two years, for swinging at his brother with a pipe wrench and a flashlight during an argument on March 19, 2019, and for making threats against his brother.

Williams will also be on three years supervised probation after he is released and has been ordered to have no contact with the victim.

North Central District Court Judge Stacy Louser also sentenced Williams to five years, with all time suspended but the 30 days he has already served, and three years of supervised probation for Class C felony violation of a domestic violence protection order in March 2019.

In addition, Louser revoked Williams’ probation on previous charges and sentenced him to 18 months in prison, followed by another 18 months of supervised probation.

All of the sentences are concurrent.
