New waterslide planned for Roosevelt Park Pool

The Minot Park District will be replacing the water slide at the Roosevelt Park Pool with a new dual slide during the summer of 2020.

The current slide was installed in 1985 and has withstood the test of time, providing great memories for over 35 years for visitors to the Roosevelt Park Pool, according to the park district. The new slide will feature dual slides with individual run-out chutes, separate from the main 50-meter pool.

Due to the short construction season in the region for the summer of 2020, there will be no slide in place. The current slide will be demolished and structure work on the new slide will be taking place. The Roosevelt Park Pool will remain open.

“Its going to be a busy summer at the Roosevelt Park Pool as we start work on the new waterslide,” said Ron Merritt, executive director of Minot Park District. “The Roosevelt Park Pool welcomes thousands of visitors every summer. We believe this is a great asset to the community, and we are excited for this new feature for our citizens and visitors from around the region.”
