Tony Gilbert Slavens Jr., 34, Minot, is accused of punching a woman in the face multiple times and of grabbing the arm of his 10-year-old daughter, throwing her down and taking the phone away from her when the child called 911 on Dec. 28.

According to a probable cause affidavit filed with the court, Slavens was drunk at the time of the altercation and had been making unwanted sexual advances toward the woman.

Slavens is charged in district court in Minot with Class C felony child abuse, Class C felony interference with an emergency call, and Class B misdemeanor domestic violence resulting in bodily injury.
