Multi-County Activity Day gives 4-H members hands-on learning
4-H members, volunteers and presenters from seven counties participated in the annual 4-H Multi-County Activity Day held at the North Dakota State Fair Center in Minot on Nov. 16.
Multi-County Activity Day is an event where 4-H members have the opportunity for hands-on learning. The youth work on exhibits they can take to their county fair, achievement days and ultimately, the North Dakota State Fair.
This year there were 23 activities for the 178 youth to choose from. Topics included: air rifle, archery, cloverbuds, crochet rag rug, cross wall hanging, easy dishtowel apron, finger crochet scarf, handmade jewelry, horse rope halter tying, large animal vital signs and wound care, mason jar lid ornaments, perler bead art, pigeons, quilling, rabbits, rope making, straw mania roller coaster, sweetening science, tie-dye T-shirts, and four different woodworking projects – birdhouse, boot jack, coat rack and tool caddy.

4-H members from these counties participated in Multi-County Activity Day: Ward (51), McHenry (44), Renville (32), Bottineau (24), Mountrail (12), Williams (12), and McLean (3) Counties.
A drawing for 25 Multi-County Activity Day Registration Fee Scholarships of $20 each was sponsored by SRT Communications were awarded prior to lunch. Recipients were youth from Ward (11), McHenry (6), Renville (4), Williams (2), Bottineau (1), and Mountrail (1).
