The Berthold Police Department is hosting an event for area pets on Dec. 16 from 5 to 7 p.m. at Berthold City Hall, according to a press release.

A professional photographer will be here to take photos and a pet groomer will be doing nail trimming and other services.

Souris Valley Animal Shelter will also be microchipping dogs and cats. The microchipping carries a small fee but is very important to identifying lost pets.

There will be refreshments and snacks at the event as well.
